We are
The Cobra Commanders

We are Cactus High School’s FIRST Robotics Competition team, The Cobra Commanders 498, a local team of high school students who build internationally recognized competitive robots. As a team, we work together to build large, 125 lb. robots that compete as a part of the FIRST Robotics Competition. The student built, well-engineered robots are designed, fabricated, and programmed in 6 weeks. In addition to building robots, our mission is to form and maintain reciprocative relationships with sponsors, schools, and community partners, to provide resources and assistance for STEM programs state-wide, and to create engineering and robotics education opportunities for students in the Phoenix metropolitan area, with a focus on Title I Schools, while fostering a visible and competitive FIRST program.
